Winter Storm Warning in Effect

January 3, 2018

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Southern Jersey including Coastal Cape May Counties.

WHAT’S EXPECTED?

  • Total snow accumulations of 4-7 inches.
  • Wind gusts of 45 mph will cause blowing and drifting snow resulting in significantly reduced visibility.
  • Tree branches could fall as well due to high winds and heavy snow.
  • There is chance of minor street flooding during high tide at 9:42am Thursday (Jan 4). Prepare to move vehicles from streets that typically flood.
  • Scattered power outages could develop Thursday and Friday.

Regardless of snow amounts, dangerous cold air will be returning for the end of the week and into the weekend.
