Employee Spotlight: Mark Grampp, CISR, CPSR

In 2009, Mark Grampp joined McMahon Insurance Agency. Mark brought with him nearly 30 years experience in the insurance industry. As a Personal Lines Account Manager, Mark specializes in homeowners policies, underwriting and claims reporting. Mark holds professional designations of  Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) and Certified Professional Service Representative (CPSR).

Get to know more about Mark:

    1. What is your proudest moment at McMahon Insurance Agency?
      • Mark: When customer’s take the time to send a card or email thanking me for giving them superior customer service or assisting them with a problem they had with their insurance. Insurance can be confusing and it is very satisfying to help people with their insurance needs and get a better understanding of their coverage.
    2. What is the favorite part about working for McMahon Insurance Agency?
      • Mark: I previously worked in the corporate world where employees are expendable.  It is refreshing to work for a family owned and operated company that knows and values their employees.
    3. Do you have a favorite author or quote?
      • Mark: The Golden Rule.  “Everything you would like men to do to you, do also to them.” (Matthew 7:12)  We recognize this rule in our everyday personal lives but it especially important in the business world.  Put yourself in the customer’s shoes once in a while.  Building relationships with customers is the key to a successful business and this is what McMahon Agency has always done and is the reason for their success and longevity.
    4. What do you do for fun?
      • Mark: Travel, (I’ll go on any cruise….anywhere.)  Cooking, Dining out.
    5. What is the most important thing you have learned in the last five years?
      • Mark: Focus on what you HAVE instead of what you don’t have.  I have learned to appreciate how far I have come or what I have accomplished rather than focus on what I have yet to do or what I have not accomplished.  When you change your focus on your life and career, your whole attitude changes.
