Employee Spotlight: Terence Sikoryak

Terence (Terry) is the Financial Services and Employee Benefits Manager for McMahon Insurance. With over 25 years of experience as an employee benefits consultant, he is responsible for designing and implementing creative cost containment solutions in employee benefits and business continuation for commercial clients. As a Certified Insurance Instructor for the State of New Jersey, he has written and taught continuing education classes for the past 10 years.

  1. What is your proudest moment at McMahon Insurance Agency?
    • Terry: My proudest moment actually has to do with a claim that I handled. I sold life insurance to a long term client and then diligently followed up to make sure he paid the premiums. He later became very ill and lapsed his policy with another agent, but he kept his policy with McMahon because I constantly reminded him. When he passed away, his family thanked me for my diligence.

    • Terry: Stability, Family, Community.
  3. Do you have a favorite author or quote? 
    • Terry: “Guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life”- King Solomon
  4. Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us. 
    • Terry: I have been hosting a radio show for 25 years that can now be heard on Wednesday evenings in Ocean City. The name of the show is This One Voice, which is also the name of a ministry that I founded 9 years ago.
  5. What do you do for fun? 
    • Terry: I read, write and play guitar. I also joined the Cape May songwriters guild last year.
  6. What is the most important thing you have learned in the last five years?
    • Terry: You can always be better.
  7. What is the one thing you cannot resist?
    • Terry: Devil Dogs!
  8. What was the best concert you ever attended?
    • Terry: Allman Brothers live at the Fillmore East, March 1971. I still have the program.
  9. Who would you most like to swap places with for a day?
    • Terry: Me at 16.
  10. If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go? 
    • Terry: Israel
